In hopes to make a room of my house more cat friendly I added these as well as a few other items and my cats definitely are drawn to these the most. Great for the money. The fact you can add catnip inside is great too.
I put one up in my bedroom and my 3 legged cat just loves it! I rent my apt so I didn't want to use the screws to install it so instead I just used command strips that are usually used for hanging pictures (the ones that kinda look like Velcro). I stuck one command strip on each side of the scratcher then stuck it to the corner of the wall at the height where my cat could get to it if she was sitting down or walking by. She loves using it right after she eats!
This cat is the sweetest until you try to take her away from this thing! She loves it!
Once my car was aware she uses it in the very early mornings. I showed her by running my hand over the plastic teeth. She got the hang of it after a couple of weeks.
My cat who always rubs against corners of things is OVER THE MOON! She's beyond thrilled to have these. My other cat hasn't joined in yet, but he may. My daughter has a couple of these and her cats ignore them. Basically if your cat loves being brushed or rubbing against corners, get some of these!
